Title: Life Skills Successes

Description: In order to address the concerns of a unique group of middle school students in regards to age and multiple retention criteria, the School District of Palm Beach County operated a pilot program from January 9, 2006 to June 29, 2006 at Lake Shore Middle School and John F. Kennedy Middle School. Each school selected one hundred students who met the above criteria and began a computer based curriculum program. The students were enrolled in a four hour class where they received their core classes through computer assisted course work. In addition to the core classes each student was registered in two elective classes through the school schedule. Lake Shore Middle School  and John F. Kennedy Middle School used Life Skills curriculum. We recognize the successes of the students and the schools.
