Title: LR2 Approve Settlment Re: Beyond Speech Therapy

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board enter into the Settlement Agreement attached hereto with Beyond Speech Therapy and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related documents.  The following is a brief history of the Settlement Agreement and its approval.

Description:

• Beyond Speech Therapy alleged a breach of contract by the District and  was demanding $111,000.00 plus attorney’s fees and interest as damages. 
•  
• At pre-suit mediation, the parties agreed to settle this dispute for $50,000.00, contingent upon approval by the Board.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the District is $50,000.00 from the ESE budget.
