Title: P2 RFP for Asbestos Abatement Services

Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the renewal of RFP 02C-002J for Asbestos Abatement Services and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all necessary documents.

Description:

P2  Approve the renewal of RFP 02C-002J for Asbestos Abatement Services

·      Request for Proposal No. 02C-002J was awarded by Board action on December 12, 2001, to Cross Environmental Services Inc., Decon Environmental & Engineering Inc., DPC General Contractors Inc., Project Development Group Inc., and Sal’s Abatement Corporation  for  three year(s) from December 13, 2001 through December 12, 2004 with the option to renew for two addi­tional one-year periods.

·      The first option to renew was exercised on October 20, 2004 for the period December 13, 2004 through December 12, 2005.

·      The second and final option to renew is now being exercised for the period December 13, 2005 through December 12, 2006.

·      Cross Environmental Services Inc., Decon Environmental & Engineering Inc., DPC General Contractors Inc., and Sal’s Abatement Corporation have agreed to honor terms, conditions and pricing of existing con­tract for the forth­coming contract period.  Project Development Group Inc., opted not to renew due to pricing conditions.

·      Services to be provided are for Asbestos Abatement Services.

Financial Impact:
No additional estimated expenditure is requested for this renewal.
