Title: Recommendation: I recommend award of the consultant contract with Center for School Development, Inc., and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all needed documents. Description: CC6 The consultant shall perform the following services: Develop a comrehensive multi-year evaluation design for the evaluation of the Alternative Education Program to be implemented by Community Education Partners, Inc. (CEP). The effectiveness of the CEP-Partnership Program must be evaluated on the measurable student performance outcomes contained in the contract with CEP and the School District of Palm Beach County. Results of the quarterly formative monitoring reports will be used to make recommendations for programmatic improvements, and the results of the annual project summative evaluation will be used to make decisions regarding project continuance and ongoing partnership terms. Through the funding provided by the Alternative Schools/Public-Private Partnership "planning year" grant, the Center for School Development, Inc. will develop a comprehensive, multi-year evaluation design and this will include both formative and summative components. The evaluation design will address the major elements of educational intervention, but not limited to the speciic implementation and accountability outcomes detailed in the contract with CEP and the School District of Palm Beach County. This evaluation design will provide a comprehensive report on the implementation and results.
