Title: AC6 Second Amendment to the Film Tech Prep Grant Agreement Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve the Second Amendment to the Film Tech Prep Grant Agreement and authorize the Superintendent or designee to sign all related documents.
Description:
- On December 20, 2003, the School Board approved the award of $198,688 from the Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners for high schools' television production equipment.
- On January 19, 2005, the School Board approved the First Amendment to the Film Tech Prep Grant Agreement granting an extension of the grant to August 24, 2005.
- This Second Amendment authorizes a no cost extension from August 24, 2005 to June 24, 2006.
- The reason this Amendment is retroactive is because the District was verbally granted the extension by a representative of the Board of County Commissioners. The District was later asked to formalize this extension through this Amendment. The Board of County Commissioners approved this extension at its October 2005 Board Meeting.
- This funding covers expenses for repair, maintenance, and replacement of parts of existing film and production equipment to provide a better educational opportunity for our students.
Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to the district.
