Title: Interlocal Agreement with City of Boynton Beach for Enhanced Landscaping and Fencing at Congress Mid

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve the Interlocal Agreement between the School Board of Palm Beach County and the City of Boynton Beach to enhance landscaping and fencing at Congress Middle School and authorize the Chair and Superintendent or their respective designee to sign all documents related to the Agreement which are required for implementation of the Agreement activities.

Description:

The Interlocal Agreement pertains to the Modernization of Congress Middle School.  The purpose of this Agreement is to enhance the landscaping and fencing at Congress Middle School to improve the appearance of the School along one of the City's major corridors.  The City of Boynton Beach will provide the School Board funding for the documented cost of the Project, in the amount not to exceed $143,620.  In the event this agreement is not executed by August 2009, the School Board shall revert back to its typical landscape standard.

Financial Impact:
The School Board will receive 143,620 from the City of Boynton Beach, which is the total cost of the enhanced landscaping.
