Title: CP2-Amend the CM Agreement for Boca Raton Community HS Academy/Science Building Addition

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve an Amendment to the Construction Management at Risk Agreement to establish the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) with accepted Alternates #1 and #2, in the amount of $17,205,488 to Centex Construction, LLC for Construction Management at Risk Services for Boca Raton Community HS Academy/Science Building Addition, Project No.0961-8319 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents.

Description:

Construction Management at Risk Services for construction of  a 83,670 GSF Science/Academy Classroom Building with 160 academy program student stations and 325 science program student stations, replacing the existing science building and providing new academy space educational specifications approved by the Board on March 16, 2005.  

Approved Budget: $12,418,130

Construction Cost Per Student Station: $35,670.10

Financial Impact:
The financial impact is $17,300,000. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget. The District will provide Builder's Risk insurance for this phase of the project at a total cost of $128,020.
