I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of $4,831.00 and approve Final Payment and ratify Final Acceptance for Santaluces High School, Auditorium Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.
Description: Santaluces High School – Auditorium Project #1611-8272
The project Modifications include the following items:
Item #1
- CCD #2 in the amount of $4,831.00.
- Description: Costs to cover code related work identified in closeout inspections for Auditorium aisle handrails, a stage rigging pit railing and gate, and an additional electric room heat detector.
- Cause: Design Omission-These items are required by code.
- Justification: The work was not included in the plans and specifications.
Item #2
Description: The Project Architect, MPA Architects, has certified that Santaluces High School, under contract with The Weitz Company, achieved Final Completion.
The General Contractor has requested, and the Architect and Staff have recommended, Final Payment and Final Acceptance.
- Punchlist complete.
- Certificate of Occupancy was obtained.
- Closeout documents were received.
- Errors and Omissions did not exceed 1%
- Final M/WBE Participation Achieved 19.63%.
Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $4,831.00.
The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
