Title: FM2 Consider Approval to Submit the District's Self-Assessment of the Safety and Security Best Pract Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve the submission of the self-assessment of the Safety and Security Best Practices review to the Florida Department of Education.
Description:
- Pursuant to Florida Statute 1006.07, the "Safety and Security Best Practices" as developed by the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA), shall be used to conduct a self-assessment of the School District's current safety and security practices and procedures.
- The School Board must receive a self-assessment at a publicly noticed School Board Meeting. The Superintendent shall report the self-assessment results and School Board action to the Commissioner of Education.
Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to the School District.
