Title: Recommendation: Description: This contract will provide funding for services for 185 children, 3 and 4 years of age, from low-income families. The Head Start Delegate Agency contract provides funding for personnel, field trips, materials, supplies, audio visual materials, software, equipment, travel for home visits and Head Start Delegate Agency meetings, curriculum, staff development, parent involvement, transportation and food for eligible students. In addition, it provides funding for medical, dental and mental health care for children in need of services. Performance will be measured by the following: >Monitoring four times during the 2006-2007 contract year by the grantee, based on the Head Start Program Performance Standards, which are designed to ensure that the Head Start goals and objectives are implemented successfully. >85% of the Head Start children in attendance daily. >100% of the Head Start children screened for medical and dental services. >Readiness surveys completed for all four year olds transitioning to kindergarten. 85% will be ready for kindergarten as measured by the Pre-Kindergarten student profile. >Continued utilization of Galileo software, which generates data on individual child outcomes.
