Title: T-3 Consider Transfer of Surplus School Buses to Charter School

Recommendation:
I recommend that the School Board authorize the Superintendent to transfer one 65 or 77 passenger school bus to Riviera Beach Maritime Academy Charter School.

Description:

• Florida Statute 274.05 allows disposal of surplus property in a manner consistent with the best interest of the District.
• The Riviera Beach Maritime Academy Charter School will be required to sign a vehicle transfer agreement.  Appropriate liens wil be filed with the State of Florida.
• Property records of the transferred vehicles will be retired to the inactive file.
• Written request for surplus bus is attached.

Financial Impact:
Donation of one surplus bus that would sell for approximately $5,000. to $7,000.
