Title: PM10 Project Modifications for Boca Raton Community High

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of $21,366.00 for Boca Raton Community High School, Science Building and Career Academy Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

Boca Raton Community High School – Science Building & Career Academy Project #0961-8319

This project modification contains the following item:

• CCD #1 in the amount of $21,366.00.
• Description:  Furnish and install construction separation barrier wall and fencing per sheet A011 dated 3/8/06 during spring break (March 20 - March 25, 2006). 
• Cause:  School District Requested
• Justification:  The construction separation barrier wall needed to be installed while the school was not occupied and prior to the start of construction.  Construction was anticipated to start in April 2006.  (Note: Start of construction was subsequently delayed due to burrowing owls.)

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $21,366.00.

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
