Title: PM11 Project Modifications for Wellington Area Middle

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications for the addition of seven (7) consecutive calendar days and the amount of $8,677.24 for Wellington Area Middle School (02-JJ), New School Construction Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

Wellington Area Middle School (02-JJ) – New School Construction Project #3371‑ 8290

This project modification contains the following item:

 CCD #1 in the amount of $8,677.24 and the addition of seven (7) consecutive calendar days.

  • Description:  Extend contract time due to Hurricane Wilma.
  • Cause:  Unforeseen Conditions.
  • Justification:  Hurricane “Wilma” created a disruption in all of the construction process.  Damage to the overall site was minimal, as a result of preparation.  Flooding, fuel shortages and the inability of the work force to reach the site were critical.

  

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $8,677.24.

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
