P1      Approve the renewal of RFP 03C-023B for Medicaid Reimbursement

·      Request for Proposal No. 03C-023B was awarded by Board action on October 15, 2003, to Maximus, Inc.  for three years from November 8, 2003 through November 7, 2006 with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.

·       The first option to renew is now being exercised for the period November 8, 2006 through November 7, 2007.

·       Maximus, Inc. has agreed to honor terms, conditions and pricing of existing contract for the forthcoming contract period.  

·        Services to be provided include Medicaid Reimbursement Services. The amount of Medicaid funds generated is reduced to pay for this service. The estimated expenditure will be funded from the actual revenue received from this contract. The fee is a flat fee claim line price.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the General Fund budget is estimated at $84,000.  The source of funds is the Exceptional Student Education budget.
