Recommendation:

Based on satisfactory performance during the past, it is recommended that the Repair of heavy duty Rotary Lifts at Transportation Compounds is to be done by certified vendor Powell Petroleum.

Description:

P4    Approve the Repair of heavy duty Rotary

         Lifts at Transportation Compounds

·         Powell Petroleum is the only certified vendor in the greater Palm Beach area authorized by Rotary Lifts to repair and maintain their equipment.  These lifts are located throughout the district at the various Transportation Compounds.  The next closest authorized repair facility is located in Miami-Dade.  This would involve higher costs to the district in travel/mileage fees.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the District Budget is estimated at $45,000.  The source of funds is the Transportation budget.
