Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve the award of an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Fees in the amount of $250,740.00 to C.R. Klewin Southeast, Inc. for Royal Palm School Replacement, Project No. 1801-8357 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents. Description: Construction Management at Risk Services required for Preconstruction Phase Services including design review and recommendation to establish the Guaranteed Maximum Price for the construction of approximately a 145,000 gross square feet, 564 student station Pre-K through 12 ESE replacement school. The replacement facility will be constructed on the current site followed by demolition of the existing facility and construction of playfields and auxiliary facilities in accordance with Board approved Educational Specifications. Approved Budget for Construction: $22,716,202. Construction Type: TBD during Pre-Construction Phase No. of Stories: TBD during Pre-Construction Phase Gross Square Feet: 145,000 Budgeted Total Student Stations: 564 Budgeted Construction Cost/Student Station: $40,277. Preconstruction Phase Fee: $219,740.00 Reimbursable Expenses: $ 31,000.00 Total Preconstruction Phase Fee: $250,740.00 Eight (8) firms responded to the RFP and three (3) firms were shortlisted. The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows: 1. C.R. Klewin Southeast, Inc. 2. Suffolk Construction Company, Inc. 3. The Morganti Group, Inc.
