I recommend that the School Board approve the software upgrades and purchases from the The McGraw-Hill Companies Inc., Scholastic Inc and Compass Learning Inc.
Description: Jamestown Reading Navigator (The McGraw-Hill Companies Inc.) - A strategic web-based reading intervention program with an emphasis on informational text and differentiated reading lessons for level one and level two intensive reading students.
Scholastic Inc - The upgrade of dated technology to the current enterprise version will provide robust functionality; combine 3 standalone databases into one relational database, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of SRI, Reading Counts and Read 180 while reducing maintenance and technical school support.
Compass Learning Inc. - Purchase Compass Learning Odyssey for Alternative Education and 5 school sites for credit recovery and credit remediation concentrating on reducing multiple retained middle school students.
