Title: P4 Extension of RFP 05C-003JZ for the Installation and Disconnection of Portable Classrooms

Recommendation:

Based on satisfactory performance during the

past contract period, it is recommended that the

term contract for the installation and

disconnection of portable classrooms and for

support services be extended with

HA Contracting Corp. & Royal ConcreteConcepts,

Inc., for the period December 1, 2006 through

February 28, 2007.

Description:

P4   Approve the extension of RFP 05C-003JZ for

        the Installation and Disconnection of Portable

       Classrooms and for Support Services

       Program for the period December 1, 2006

       through     February 28, 2007

       (90 Day Extension)

·        Request for Proposal No. 05C-003JZ was awarded by Board action on November 16, 2004, to HA Contacting Corp. and Royal Concrete Concepts, Inc. for two year(s) from December 2004 through November 30, 2006 with the option to renew for one additional three-year periods.

·       Per Special Condi­tion 5.1, Term of Contract, this contract may be extended for 90 days.  This contract will be extended for 90 days in order to develop new specifications.  HA Contracting Corp. and Royal Concrete Concepts have agreed to honor this condition when they signed their original proposal.

·         All terms, conditions, pricing of existing contract will remain the same for the extension period.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the Capital budget is estimated at $10,000,000 for the extension period.  The source of funds is the Capital Fund budget.
