Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve the award of an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Fees in the amount of $200,406. to Moss & Associates, LLC. for Forest Park Elementary School Modernization, Project No. 0831-8502 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents. Description: Construction Management @ Risk Services required for the construction of a 798 student station elementary school with core facilities to accommodate 960 student stations. Three classroom buildings will be retained from the existing facility, modernized to the extent necessary and incorporated into the construction for the 798 student station facility. The construction process shall also incorporate consideration for the future addition of 188 student stations. Construction will be in accordance with the Educational Specifications approved by the Board on May 17, 2006. Approved Budget for Construction: $19,069,642.00 Construction Type: TBD during Pre-Construction Phase No. of Stories: TBD during Pre-Construction Phase Gross Square Feet: 116,177 Budgeted Total Student Stations: 986 Budgeted Construction Cost/Student Station: $19,340. Preconstruction Phase Fee: $200,406. Five (5) firms responded to the RFP and three (3) firms were shortlisted. The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows: 1. Moss & Associates, LLC. 2. C.R. Klewin Southeast, Inc. 3. Heery International, Inc. Financial Impact: The financial impact is $200.406.
