Title: PM1 Project Modifications for Palm Beach Lakes High

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of 16,500.00 for Palm Beach Lakes High School, Auditorium Project #1851-8272, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

 

This project modification contains the following item:

 

  • Additional Architectural Services in the amount of $16,500.00
  • Description:  Provide additional parking on the site since new building displaced existing parking and to design new emergency generator system.
  • Cause:  School District Requested.
  • Justification:  The new building is displacing existing parking and the school needs to replenish what is being lost.  The existing on-site emergency generator system can not handle the additional load from the new building.  This scope of services is beyond the scope of work included in the re-use fee.
  • The Estimated Construction Cost was included in the GMP.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $16,500.00.

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
