Title: PM2 Project Modifications for Westward Elementary

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of $148,144.00 for Westward Elementary School, Modernization Project #0351-7509, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

 

This project modification contains the following item:

 

  • Additional Architectural Services in the amount of $148,144.00
  • Description:  Additional architectural design requirements to include 18,074 square feet of art and music space in the new building. 
  • Cause:  School District Requested.
  • Justification:  The Board voted to eliminate Building #7 and #8 from the campus. The original scope of the Architects contract did not include the incorporation of this space in the new building. 

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $148,144.00

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
