Title: Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization Buddy Walk

Description: The Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization has been serving families of children with Down syndrome in Palm Beach County for 26 years. The organization, which is an educational and advocacy family support association, held the 12th Annual Buddy Walk October 22, 2006 at John Prince Park in Lake Worth.  A number of our schools and students participated in the event in which every dollar raised goes directly to improving the lives of individuals with Down syndrome in Palm Beach County in the areas of education, parent support, health care and recreation.  The Buddy Walk with the goal to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome, is a one-mile advocacy walk in which anyone can participate.
