Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve the award of an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Service Fees in the amount of $157,395. to James B. Pirtle Construction, Inc. for the Allamanda Elementary School Modernization, Project No. 0101-8227 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents. Description: Construction Management at Risk services required for Preconstruction Phase Services including design review and recommendation to establish the Guarantee Maximum Price for construction of a 119,668 gross square foot, 745 student station K-5 replacement school with core facilities to accommodate 960 students. Construction will be in accordance with permitted design documents and Educational Specifications approved by the Board on May 17, 2006. Estimated Budget for Construction: $22,475,056. Construction Type: TBD during Pre-Construction Phase No. of Stories: TBD during Pre-Construction Phase Gross Square Feet: 119,668 Total Student Stations: 745 Preconstruction Phase Service Fee: $99,395. Reimbursable Expenses: $58,000. Total Contract Award: $157,395. Eight (8) firms responded to the RFP and three (3) firms were shortlisted. The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows: 1. James B. Pirtle Construction Co., Inc. 2. C.R. Klewin Southeast, Inc. 3. Heery International, Inc.
