Title: CLS3-Approval of the 2007 Adult Education Registration Fees

Recommendation:
I recommend that the School Board approve the 2006-2007 Adult Education Registration Fees per course hour as required by Statute and State Board of Education rule, effective December 14, 2006.

Description:

The State Board of Education has established the required fees to be charged to adults per course hour in Adult General Education programs.  These fees are charged under very narrow circumstances, such as students who have a high school diploma seeking remediation prior to taking a college placement test.

The schedule below represents the mandatory statutory fees charged by the School District and are categorized by resident and non-resident status.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the General Funds budget is an increase of $115.  These are Workforce Development funds and not part of K-12 FTE funding.  Fees collected are allocated to school center budgets.
