Title: RE-1 Approve Agreement for Sale and Purchase/Access Easement Amendment-Palm

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve the Agreement for Sale and Purchase between Palm Beach County and the School District for 3,000 sf, more or less, at Park Vista Community High School; approve amendment to Access Easement; and authorize the Superintendent and Chairman to sign all necessary documents.

Description:

• On October 20, 2004 the School Board approved the sale of 3.72 acres for a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office substation in conjunction with Park Vista Community High School, the granting of an access easement, and a cross parking easement agreement.  (See 2004 Board Report)

• A discrepancy was discovered within the boundary lines therefore necessitating the School District to re-purchase an additional +/-3,000 square feet and amend the access easement.

• The pro-rated purchase price of $7,680.00, for the 3,000 square feet is based on the approved appraised value.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the Project’s Budget is $7,680.00.
