Title: AC5- Interagency Agreement Between The Florida Department of Children and Families Recommendation:
I recommend that the School Board approve the Interagency Agreement Between The Florida Department of Children and Families, District Nine, and The School Board of Palm Beach County, Florida.
Description: The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the District have established on-going mutually agreed upon procedural guidelines concerning investigations related to child safety and rights issues. In addition, effective July 1, 2006, Chapter 39, Florida Statutes requires DCF to investigate allegations of known or suspected child abuse by employees occurring in school centers. The purpose of this Interagency Agreement is to consolidate the guidelines that apply to DCF and the District concerning all of the aforementioned types of DCF investigations at school centers

There is no financial impact to the school district.
