Title: CS2 Termination of Palm Beach Military Academy

Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board accept the voluntary termination of Palm Beach Military Academy, effective November 19, 2006, and authorize the Superintendent or designee to sign all related contracts and documents.

Description:

Palm Beach Military Academy has requested its charter be terminated and the school closed effective November 10, 2006.

A complete audit of the school’s financial records is now in progress.  Outstanding issues will be addressed by the School District and the respective departments provided that the Charter School fully cooperates with the District. 

Attached is the Notice of Termination and Exhibit A, the Charter School’s Notification Letter.

Financial impact to be determined after auditing has been completed.
