Title: Santaluces Marching Chiefs Win Class 4A State Championship

Description: The Santaluces High School Marching Chiefs won the  Class 4A State Championship at the Florida Marching Band Championships held in St. Petersburg, Florida.  The Marching Chiefs swept all captions, winning Music, General Effect and Visual on their way to their 2nd FMBC State Championship in as many years.  The Marching Chiefs, under the direction of Evan Rogovin, performed their production entitled “Latin Dances of the Spanish Main,” featuring the selections Machito, Baracumbara, Guaguanco and Habanera Redux.  The Marching Chiefs are sponsored by the Santaluces High School Band Boosters and are one of the many ensembles in the Santaluces Band and Music Industry Academy.
