Title: Special Mtg. Re: Sprint Nextel Nondisclosure Agmt. Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve a Mutual Nondisclosure Agreement with Sprint Nextel and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents.
Description: The School Board is under a Federal Communications Commission mandate to engage in negotiations with Sprint Nextel to resolve issues involving each parties’ overlapping license for the E Group channels. The School Board also has unresolved disputes with Sprint Nextel on the School Board’s A and H Group channels. Sprint Nextel has declined to engage in further negotiations or exchange information with School Board staff until the parties have entered into a Nondisclosure Agreement that prohibits either party from voluntarily disclosing the substance of any discussions or information exchanged by the parties during settlement negotiations. The Nondisclosure Agreement contains the necessary caveats for disclosure required by the Florida Public Records Act.
Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to entering into this Agreement.
