Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Services Fee in the amount of $107,609 to Suffolk Construction Company, Inc., and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Pre-Construction fees for H.L. Johnson Elementary School, Project No. 400000002. Description: Construction Management @ Risk Services required for Preconstruction Phase Services including design review and recommendation to establish a Guaranteed Maximum Price for construction of a 41,697 GSF, 405 student station addition consisting of general and ESE classrooms, administration, foodservice, dining and multi- purpose space. The total student stations will be increased from 595 to 1000. Construction will be in accordance with the Educational Specifications approved by the Board on September 20, 2006. Estimated Budget for Construction: $10,800,216. Construction Type: To be determined during Preconstruction Phase No. of Stories: To be determined during Preconstruction Phase. Gross Square Feet: 41,697 Estimated Total New Student Stations: 405 Estimated Cost/Student Station: $26,667 Preconstruction Phase Services Fee: $77,659 Reimbursable Expenses: $29,950 Total: $107,609 Four (4) firms responded to the RFP of which three (3) were shortlisted. The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows: (1) Suffolk Construction Company, Inc. (2) Pavarini Construction Co. S.E., Inc.
