Title: CP-8 Renewal of Continuing Contract for Civil Engineering

Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the renewal of Continuing Contract for Civil Engineering Consultant Services to Civil Design, Inc., Greenhorne & O’Mara, Inc. and Heller-Weaver and Sheremeta, Inc. for Civil Engineering on projects that the construction budgets are less than $1,000,000, for studies whereby professional fees do not exceed $50,000. This renewal period will be from March 16, 2007 through March 15, 2008.

Description: Approval of the second of three one-year renewals for Civil Engineering Consultant Services on a “Continuing Contract” basis. This contract is for School District projects having construction budgets of less than $1,000,000. This Contract is for study activity when the fee for such professional services does not exceed $50,000, or for work of a specified nature as outlined in the contract is required by the District.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact is from various funds in an amount not to exceed $200,000 per year. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget.
