Title: Parent University

Description: Parent University's mission is to provide a creative and enlightening parent education program with information and resources needed to build strong families- the cornerstone to building strong communities. The Parent University committee is comprised of a representative from each participating school and together they plan a program for the year to raise awareness on hot parenting topics. Parent University brings in professional speakers, including authors, child psychologists, nutritionists, and other experts that speak to parents about issues affecting their children. A community resource fair is included at each workshop to provide additional supplements, information and resources available in the community.  Parent University was developed five years ago by PTA parent Michelle Hershey.
