Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve an Amendment to the Construction Management at Risk Agreement to establish the Phase 2 Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction in the amount of $2,040,168. to Horus Construction Services, Inc. for Spanish River Bio-Tech Academy Addition Project No. 1681-8228 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents. Description: Construction Management @ Risk Services required for Phase 2 final construction renovation of existing lecture hall for a new Biotechnology Academy encompassing approximately 13,783 GSF for laboratory and classroom space, in accordance with Estimated Construction Budget: $2,660,525. (Five Year Capital Plan) Number of Stories: NA (Remodeling) Construction Type: NA (Remodeling) Gross Square Feet: 13,783 Budgeted Total Construction Cost per Total Actual Construction Cost per Gross Square Foot: $186 (Phase 1 & 2) Building Only Cost per Gross Square Foot (Div 3-16): $147 (Phase 1 & 2) Student Stations: 75 Budgeted Total Construction Cost per Student Station: $35,474. Total Actual Construction Cost per Student Station: $34,107. (Phase 1& 2) Building Only Cost per Student Station (Div. 3-16): $27,069. (Phase 1 & 2) Preconstruction Fee: $29,575.
