Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Services Fee in the amount of $53,770. to The Weitz Company, LLC, for and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Pre-Construction fees for Wellington High School Veterinarian Academy, Project No: 2191-8228. Description: Construction Management @ Risk Services required for Preconstruction Phase Services including design review and recommendation to establish a Guaranteed Maximum Price for remodeling of existing classroom spaces to accommodate program requirements for a 325 student station, 30,351 gross square foot academy for an equine/pre-veterinarian program. Construction will be in accordance with the Educational Specifications approved by the Board on July 19, 2006. Estimated Budget for Construction: $2,258,025 (Five Year Capital Plan) Construction Type: To be determined during Preconstruction Phase No. of Stories: To be determined during Preconstruction Phase. Gross Square Feet: 30,351 Estimated Total New Student Stations: 325 Estimated Construction Cost/Student Station: $6948. Preconstruction Phase Services Fee: $44,120. Reimbursable Expenses: $9,650. Total: $53,770. Four (4) firms responded to the RFP of which three (3) were shortlisted.
