Title: CC3 Consultant Contract for The Center for Art and Media Literacy

Recommendation:
I recommend award of the consultant contract with The Center for Art and Media Literacy for $43,500 effective August 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all needed documents.

Description: CC3 The Consultant shall perform the following services: The Consultant will work with ten community middle school after-school programs in the Riviera Beach, Belle Glade, and Pahokee areas.  Consultant, along with targeted youth, will produce a quarterly teen newspaper and a web-based newspaper.  The purpose of the newspaper is to enhance the visual arts, graphic design, creative writing, and critical thinking capacity of middle school youth.
