Title: PM3 Sandpiper Shores ES Project Modifications

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of $78,568.00 and for the addition of twenty-one (21) consecutive calendar days to Suffolk Construction for Sandpiper Shores Elementary School, Class Size Reduction & HVAC Replacement Project #1961-8355, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

This project modification contains the following item:

 

  • CCD #6 in the amount of $78,568.00
  • Description: Furnish and install all material related to the installation of new fire lines, domestic water lines, and sanitary/sewer lines.
  • Cause: Outside Agency
  • Justification:  The existing utility lines did not have the capacity to meet the installation of the new addition. Installation required tapping into the nearest county supplied utilities. (It is assumed that all utility service tie-ins required for the new additions, will be adjacent to the proposed location of the new additions).

Financial Impact:

The Financial Impact to the Project’s Budget is $78,568.00

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
