Title: Scripps Update

This workshop will examine the growth of biotechnology in Palm Beach County and the school districts response to this innovative industry.    We will evaluate the progress of the Scripps – School District Partnership and show how this partnership is helping to shape science education in Palm Beach County and throughout the state of Florida.    Palm Beach County leads the state in biotechnology education and we are currently home to one of the most advanced biotechnology academies in the country.   

We will also see the development of additional partnerships and review the second annual Bioscience and Career Exposition.   Students and Teachers are currently receiving rigorous and relevant experiences as they work side by side with some of the best scientists in the country as they participate in the summer internship program.   We will have the opportunity to hear from a teacher and a student about their experiences at Scripps.
