Title: Architectural Agreement for Citrus Cove ES Classroom Addition

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve the award of an Architectural Consultant Agreement with Dow Howell Gilmore & Associates, Inc. in the amount of $619,535. and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Citrus Cove Elementary School Classroom Addition, Project No. 2071-8307.

Description:

Architectural Design Services required for 28,580 GSF of K-5 classroom additions to accommodate an additional 370 students stations and brick remediation for the existing facility.

 

Approved Budget for Planning and Design: $425,848. 

Approved Construction Budget: $9,005,910. 

Minority Participation: 15%

Base Fee: $538,730.

 

Funds Available For:
Additional Services: $53,870.
Reimbursables.: $26,935.
Total:
$619,535.


Six (6) firms responded to the RFP of which all four (4) were shortlisted.  The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows: 

(1) Dow Howell Gilmore & Associates, Inc. 

(2) Harvard Jolly, Inc.

(3) Brown & Brown Architects, Inc.

(4) Acai Associates, Inc.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact is $639,348. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget. The District will provide the Professional Responsibility Insurance at a cost of $19,813.
