Title: Guaranteed Maximum Price for Limestone Creek ES

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve an Amendment to the Agreement and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents to establish the Phase 3 Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), for Construction in the amount of $2,160,921. to C.R. Klewin Southeast, Inc. for Construction Management at Risk Services for Limestone Creek Elementary School Minor Renovation, Project No. 2031-8377.

Description:

This project includes the classroom addition, a/c replacement brick repair and roof replacement.

 

Approved Construction Budget: $11,461,446.

 

No. of Stories: Building #1-Administration, one story, modernization, Building #3-Classroom, two story, new construction, Building #4-Administration, one story, modernization, Building #5- Multipurpose, one story, modernization

Construction Type: Tilt Wall and Concrete Masonry Units

Gross Square Feet: 106,000 (43,100 New, 62,900 Modernization) Construction Cost Per Gross Square Foot: $86. (excluding brick repair and roof replacement)

Total Additional Student Stations: 367

Construction Cost Per Student Station: $24,710. (excluding brick repair and roof replacement)

Preconstruction Fee: $67,982.

Phase I GMP: $5,278,836.

Phase II GMP: $3,721,628.

Phase III GMP: $2,160.921. (Brick Repair and Roof Replacement)

Total Construction Cost: $11,229,367.

Minority Participation: 21.1% (Total Project)

Financial Impact:

The financial impact is $2,168,454. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget. The District will provide Builder's Risk insurance for this phase of the project at a total cost of $16,047.
