Title: Guaranteed Maximum Price for Indian Pines ES

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve an Amendment to the Agreement and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents to establish the Phase 3 Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), for Construction in the amount of $1,017,990. to C.R. Klewin Southeast, Inc. for Construction Management at Risk Services for Indian Pines Elementary School Minor Renovation, Project No. 1861-8374.

Description:

This project includes the classroom addition, a/c replacement and brick replacement. 

 

Approved Construction Budget: $11,865,837.

new construction, Building #4-Administration, one story, modernization, Building #5-
Multipurpose, one story, modernization
Construction Type: Tilt Wall/Concrete Masonry Unit
Gross Square Feet: 73,816 (50,520 New, 23,296 Modernization)
Construction Cost Per Gross Square Foot: $127. (excluding brick repair)

Total Additional Student Stations: 430
Construction Cost Per Student Station: $21,781. (excluding brick repair)

Precon. Fee: $71,218.
Phase I GMP: $5,568,818.
Phase 2 GMP: $3,725,801.

Phase 3 GMP: $1,017,990. (Brick Repair)

Total Construction Cost: $10,383,827.

Minority Participation: 13.5% (Total Project)

Financial Impact:

The financial impact is $1,025,523. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget. The District will provide Builder's Risk insurance for this phase of the project at a total cost of $7,533.
