Title: CP1 Amend the CM Agreement for Westward ES Modernization

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve an Amendment to the Construction Management at Risk Agreement to establish the Phase 2 Final Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction in the amount of $ 25,282,779. with W.G. Mills, Inc. for Westward ES Modernization, Project No. 0351-7509 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents. 

Description:

Construction Management @ Risk Services required for Phase 2 Final construction of a Pre-K through Grade 5 elementary school to accommodate an additional 964 student stations. Construction will be completed according to the permitted design documents in accordance with the Educational Specifications approved by the Board on January 19, 2005 and revised on May 23, 2005 by memo to the Board.

 

Estimated Construction Budget: $26,269,793. (2008 Five Year Capital Plan)

Financial Impact:

The financial impact is a commitment of $25,472,400. which includes the GMP of $25,282,779. and $189,621.for the District provided Builder’s Risk Insurance. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Project Budget.
