Title: Recommendation: Description: These cooperative agreements are with the following community child care centers: Boca Raton Jewish Learning Center, Church In The Gardens Preschool and Kindergarten and Nadel Center for Early Childhood Education at Congregation B'nai Israel. These cooperative agreements with child care sites serving prekindergarten students with disabilities enable the students to receive services in a community based program with non-disabled peers. These cooperative agreements will serve a minimum of 30 prekindergarten students, ages three through five, who are eligible for speech/language services. The District will collect 100% of the Full Time Equivalency (FTE) and provide services to the ESE students in the Agency through existing staff or outsourced contracted services. These Agencies will receive no reimbursement. The District will ensure that students served at these sites are provided speech language services according to the District's Special Programs and Procedures document. All of the students will be transitioned into District schools at the end of the school year in which they turn age five. These cooperative agreements are in compliance with State Board Rule 6A.6-03026 "Special Programs for Prekindergarten Children with Disabilities." District staff will participate in student placements and make on-site visits to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.
