Title: G3-Pew Grant Amendment

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve the receipt of the Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund (Fund) award for the Single School Culture for Academics Project and authorize the Superintendent or designee to sign all documents related to the grant which are required for implementation of the grant activities.

Description:

• On March 12, 2003, the School Board approved the submission of the Single School Culture for Academics Grant to the Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund.

• The Fund has awarded the Department of Safe Schools an additional $25,000 to support consultant expenses for the project through October 30, 2006.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Special Revenue – Other Funds budget is an increase of $25,000.  All grant-related expenditures and contracts are authorized for payment up to the amount of revenue.
