Title: PM2 Project Modifications for Roosevelt Elementary

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the amount of $188,355.00 and the addition of sixty-nine (69) consecutive calendar days for Roosevelt Elementary School, Modernization Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

Roosevelt Elementary School – Modernization Project #0341-8260 

 

This project modification contains the following items:

 

COPR #4

 

Item #1

  • COPR 4a in the amount of $70,472.00.
  • Description: Includes the General Condition fee and CM fees.
  • Cause:  School District Requested.
  • Justification: COPR #3 was Board approved on May 18, 2005, for thirty (30) days for system activation in the existing administration building.

Item #2

  • COPR 4b in the addition of sixty-nine (69) calendar days.
  • Description: COPR #4 includes the construction schedule impact of an additional sixty-nine (69) days.  Revise the Substantial Completion date from July 6, 2005 to September 13, 2005.
  • Cause: Unforeseen Condition.
  • Justification: The CM summer activity schedule was delayed due to subcontractor portable removal and relocation delays impacting completion of site work.   

Item #3

  • COPR 4c in the amount of $117,883.00.
  • Description: COPR #4 includes the construction schedule impact of an additional sixty-nine (69) days.  Revise the Substantial Completion date from July 6, 2005 to September 13, 2005.
  • Cause: Unforeseen Condition
  • Justification: The CM summer activity schedule was delayed due to subcontractor portable removal and relocation delays impacting completion of site work. Completions of site work activities were delayed, due to default by District vendors, to remove, relocate, and demolish existing portables.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $188,355.00.

 

The source of funds is the Restricted Reserve.
