Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve the award of an Architectural Design Services Agreement with Zyscovich, Inc. in the amount of $1,003,490. for D.D. Eisenhower Elementary School, Project No. 1541-8352.

Description:

Architectural Design Services utilizing Palm Beach Gardens Area  Elementary School (03-X) design prototype for development of completed design documents for D.D. Eisenhower Elementary School.

Approved Budget for Planning and Design: $1,200,000.

Approved Budget for Construction: $21,195,040.

$446,340. Base Fee

  108,360. Site adaptation

  137,700. Plan modifications for K& Pre-K Programs

    42,700. Phasing & Demo

  137,500. Construction administration (Phase 1 construction of holding school)

$872,600. (5.35% of the $16,317,535. estimated cost of construction)

Funds Available For:

Additional Services: $87,260.

Reimbursable Expenses: $43,630.

Total Contract Award- $1,003,490.  

Minority Participation: 20%

Financial Impact:

The financial impact is $1,003,490. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget.  The District will provide the Professional Responsibility Insurance at a cost of $35,750.
