Title: Recommendation: I recommend that, pursuant to School Board Policy 3.01, the School Board approve the Memorandum of Understanding with the CTA to accommodate a request by the Bak Middle School of the Arts to waive the supplemental hourly rate of $15 per hour contained in Appendix B of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with CTA and to pay adjudicators $20 per hour for the 2005-2006 school year. Description: The quality of accepted applicants will continue to be noted by the numerous awards that BAK MSOA earns. The number of past challenges to audition adjudications will continue to be monitored when appropriate adjudicators are hired. The faculty has approved this waiver request, with at least 80% in favor, as evidenced by a secret ballot vote conducted by the Employee Building Council. The School Advisory Council and the Area Superintendent have approved this waiver request. The District Waiver Committee has reviewed and recommends the Bak Middle School of the Arts waiver.
