Title: AC2-FY 2006 Graduation Agreements with Three Vendors

Recommendation:
I recommend approval of the graduation agreements with the Palm Beach County Convention Center, Florida Atlantic University, and The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., for the FY 2006 high school graduation ceremonies, effective March 16, 2006 in the amount of $252, 000 and authorize the Superintendent to sign all related documents and contracts.

Description:

The Palm Beach County Convention Center, Florida Atlantic University and The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., have been reserved for graduation ceremonies for the Adult Education Center, summer school graduation and 17  high schools which include the following: 

º Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts,
º Atlantic Community High,
º Boca Raton Community High,
º Boynton Beach Community High,
º Forest Hill Community High,
º John I. Leonard High, Jupiter Community High,
º Lake Worth Community  High,
º Palm Beach Central High,
º Palm Beach Gardens High,
º Palm Beach Lakes Community High,
º Royal Palm Beach Community High,
º Santaluces Community High,
º Spanish River Community High,
º Suncoast High,
º Wellington Community High,
º William T. Dwyer High.

*Schools not mentioned above will facilitate graduation ceremonies at their school sites.

The graduation cost includes rehearsals, room rental fees and deposits, custodial services,  and security.
Funds are included in the District operating budget for the Department of Secondary, Adult and Community Education.

The agreements are for annual renewal and provide for multi-year use of facilities, pending availability with annual cost, dates, and specific needs to be determined.

The projected cost is $252,000 including rental and applicable parking fees.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact is $252,000. The source of  funds is the operating budget from the  Department of Secondary, Adult and Community Education
