Title: PM1 Educational Specification for Pre-K Classrooms Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve the Educational Specification for the construction of Pre-K Classrooms and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.
Description:
- The proposed Pre-K Classrooms will be for Benoist Farms Elementary, Cholee Lake Elementary, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary, Gove Elementary, North Grade Elementary and South Olive Elementary.
- The construction of the Pre-K Classrooms are scheduled to commence in 2007 and be completed by 2008 according to the Board adopted FY 2006-2010 Five Year Plan.
- The Educational Specification for Pre-K Classrooms is consistent with the CSR generic educational specifications approved by the Board on October 19, 2005.
- The Educational Specification was reviewed and approved by the principals.
Financial Impact:
Financial impact will be determined when construction contract is negotiated.
