Title: PM7 Project Modifications for U.B. Kinsey

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the amount of $29,662.50 for U. B. Kinsey/Palmview Elementary School, Modernization Project, and adjust appropriate contracts, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

 

U.B. Kinsey/Palmview Elementary School Modernization Project #0361-8265

 

This project modification contains the following item:

 

  • Additional Architectural Services in the amount of $29,662.50.
  • Description: Additional Contract Administration services required by extended duration of the project.
  • Cause:  Unforeseen Conditions and additional scope.
  • Justification: Due to the extended duration of the project caused by unforeseen existing damages in Building #2 (Black box theater) required design modifications and additional engineering review, which caused extended construction duration. 

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $29,662.50.

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
