OneBlood

Partnership With The School District of Palm Beach County

Throughout the 2015-2016 school year, Palm Beach County Public Schools partnered with OneBlood, the local blood center, for blood drives and collected 10,142 pints of blood. This lifesaving collaboration between OneBlood and the schools allows students and faculty to give back to their community in a personal and profound way.

  • Each student received a wellness checkup including blood pressure, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening. Students were able to use their online OneBlood account to track their results over time and view any trends with their numbers.
  • Students on the blood drive committee learned project management skills.
  • Students learned the importance of social responsibility and helping others in need.
